Changes to city healthcare hubs from 1st Oct – Leicester City

From Wednesday (1 October 2025), new same-day appointments for urgent care during evenings, weekends and bank holidays will be available for patients registered with Leicester city GP practices, from more locations closer to home. The current service during these times provided at Westcotes, Saffron and Belgrave Healthcare Hubs will be replaced by the new same-day appointments, with the final appointments from the hubs ending on Tuesday 30 September.

The new appointments will be available from around 10 general practice locations each day. The locations will vary from day to day, with appointments available during the following times:

Patients are asked to follow the advice given in our latest campaign, ‘Need help fast?’ which is to contact your GP practice, or NHS 111 when your practice is closed, in situations where self-care hasn’t worked, or the problem is more serious.

If you need to be seen on the same day, your practice or NHS 111 will help arrange the right appointment for you, which could be at one of the new locations.
